Body and Appearance
1. Describe the character's height and build. Is she heavyset, thin, short, rangy? Regan is on the tall side, about 5’7”. She isn’t heavyset, but you couldn’t really call her thin, either; she’s too curvy to be skinny.
2. How old is she? Regan is 19 years old, though you would guess she’s older.
3. Describe her posture. Does she carry herself well or does she slouch? Very good posture--she doesn’t slouch, but neither is she stiff. It seems natural on her.
4. How is her health? Is she fit or out of shape? Any illnesses or conditions? Any physical disabilities? She’s in good health, generally speaking, though because she’s a vegetarian, she’s prone to anemia.
5. How does she move? Is she clumsy, graceful, tense, fluid? She’s graceful in a natural way--she never took dance or anything, she’s just blessed with good coordination and is naturally sort of fluid in her movements.
6. How attractive is this character physically? How does she perceive herself in the mirror? She frets, like many people do, over her imperfections: she feels like her teeth are too big, she has freckles, her face is kind of square and her shoulders are a bit broad. But does have a unique look that sets her apart from conventional beauty.
7. Describe her complexion. Dark, light, clear, scarred? Light and lightly dusted with freckles.
8. Describe her hair: color, texture, style. It’s black, naturally very straight and a little coarse, but very shiny and healthy looking. She keeps it just long enough to pull back if she wants to, with bangs.
9. What color are her eyes? Brown.
10. Does the character have any other noteworthy features? Not really.
11. What are her chief tension centers? Her neck and shoulders.
12. What is the character's wardrobe like? Casual, dressy, utilitarian? Bright colors, pastels, neutrals? Is it varied, or does she have six of the same suit? Incredibly varied and eclectic. She favors colorful things to plain blacks, greys and whites, likes floaty and light materials, collects hand painted shawls, and doesn‘t wear much leather--she will, because people, not her, but some people, actually eat cows. You will not find a single bit of fur in her wardrobe. She won’t freak out if other people do, but she finds it senseless.
13. Do her clothes fit well? Does she seem comfortable in them? Her clothes, yes, she likes to be comfortable in them. She might sacrifice comfort for awesome shoes.
14. Does she dress the same on the job as she does in her free time? If not, what are the differences? She tries to strike a good balance. Obviously, there are things she can’t wear at work and still sell furniture to stuffy old people, but she manages to find ways to keep to her own style.
15. You knew it was coming: Boxers, briefs or commando? She’s a sexy lacey under things kind of girl, and she prefers for her panties and bra to match. Her boobs are too big for her to go braless without looking obscene unless the dress or top offers some support, but if the panty lines show? Yeah, she just won’t wear them.
Speech
1. What does this character's voice sound like? High-pitched, deep, hoarse? Sort of deep and throaty. She does the sexy purr thing very well.
2. How does she normally speak? Loud, soft, fast, evenly? Does she talk easily, or does she hesitate? Soft, with an even cadence, and almost never with a stammer or stutter. She’s a very good storyteller.
3. Does the character have a distinct accent or dialect? Any individual quirks of pronunciation? Any, like, you know, verbal tics? Not really.
4. What language/s does she speak, and with how much fluency? Latin and Gaelic, purely for purposes of magic.
5. Does she switch languages or dialects in certain situations? Only when she’s casting.
6. Is she a good impromptu speaker, or does she have to think about her words? Eh, she’s pretty hard to rattle, but she doesn’t just mouth off. She definitely thinks before she speaks.
7. Is she eloquent or inarticulate? Under what circumstances might this change? Neither. Somewhere in the middle. I suppose, if you made her very, very angry, she might sputter and lose some coherency.
Mental and Emotional
1. How intelligent is this character? Is she book-smart or street-smart? Book-smart, and street-smart only so much as it applies to selling and buying things in the shop.
2. Does she think on her feet, or does she need time to deliberate? She can think on her feet, but she’s much better when she has time to think things through and formulate a plan.
3. Describe the character's thought process. Is she more logical, or more intuitive? Idealistic or practical? Intuitive, and idealistic to a point.
4. What kind of education has the character had? High school, hands on training at the store, a few college business courses after graduation, but no degree yet.
5. What are her areas of expertise? What, if anything, is she interested in learning more about? Antiques, and magic. She’s a constant student of magic. She would really like to take some art classes.
6. Is she an introvert or an extrovert? Eh, kind of an introvert. She’s not SHY, but she prefers to curl up with a book or a good movie than go out to a club or somewhere else loud.
7. Describe the character's temperament. Is she even-tempered or does she have mood swings? Cheerful or melancholy? Laid-back or driven? She makes an effort to be even-tempered. There are things that annoy her to no end and get to her, but she tries to live by the three-fold law and not project negative thoughts or energy out into the world. So she’s not melancholy…she’s not chipper and hyper, but she’s not a Debbie Downer.
8. How does she respond to new people or situations? Is she suspicious, relaxed, timid, enthusiastic? Generally she’s good with people--it comes from being in sales. But, she’s encountered a lot of hatred and discrimination, in being so completely open with her religion, so she’s a little wary of people at first, sometimes, and is naturally just a little withdrawn and solitary.
9. Is she more likely to act, or to react? React. Then act.
10. Which is her default: fight or flight? Depends on the situation, but she will defend herself with the magic zaps.
11. Describe the character's sense of humor. Does she appreciate jokes? Puns? Gallows humor? Bathroom humor? Pranks? She doesn’t mind being teased so long as she can tease back, and she can appreciate a little dark humor, but she doesn’t like cruel or gross comedy.
12. Does the character have any diagnosable mental disorders? If yes, how does she deal with them? Nope. She’s pretty sane.
13. What moments in this character's life have defined her as a person? Realizing she had magic within her was a pretty big one. Coming to understand the circumstances of her birth (that her mom didn’t even tell her father about her, and that he didn‘t even know what they were) was another big one.
14. What does she fear? Doing the wrong thing. Taking the wrong action and upsetting the balance. Letting love of power corrupt her even a little.
15. What are her hopes or aspirations? Love, family, and acceptance. That’s a big one. She doesn’t want to be like her mother and uncle, both of whom had to raise their children alone.
16. What is something she doesn't want anyone to find out about her? I would say ‘that she’s a witch’ but she WOULD like to be able to tell someone that and trust them with it. I suppose a better answer would be, the wrong person finding out what she is and what she can do, and how powerful she really is.
Relationships
1. Describe this character's relationship with her parents. She loves her mom and her uncle, who was kind of a surrogate father to her. They’re a tightly knit if small group. She still thinks that they gave up too easily, and that they’re both very lonely, and in a lot of ways overprotective of her and her cousin Gregory.
2. Does the character have any siblings? What is/was their relationship like? None, though she’s close with her cousin Gregory. They’re like siblings.
3. Are there other blood relatives to whom she is close? Are there ones she can't stand? She’d like to give her uncle’s ex-wife a good solid kick in the ass, but that’s not blood relation, so, no. No one.
4. Are there other, unrelated people whom she considers part of her family? What are her relationships with them? Not yet. We’ll have to see how things play in RP.
5. Who is/was the character's best friend? How did they meet? Mmmm…I don’t know if Fiona and Clara could be considered ‘best friends’ but they’re definitely people of interest in her life? She met them while working at the store.
6. Does she have other close friends? A few acquaintances, but she’s really a very solitary person.
7. Does she make friends easily, or does she have trouble getting along with people? She doesn’t have trouble getting along with people, but as I said--she’s kind of naturally a loner.
8. Which does she consider more important: family or friends? Family, most definitely.
9. Is the character single, married, divorced, widowed? Has she been married more than once? She’s single as can be, right now.
10. Is she currently in a romantic relationship with someone other than a spouse? Nope. She’s more of a casual dater.
11. Who was her first crush? Who is her latest? For the record, Regan really hates the word ‘crush’. It’s stupid and juvenile. At the moment, she thinks Lukas is cute, and she’s liking him more and more the more time she spends around him.
12. What does she look for in a romantic partner? She likes earnest people. She doesn’t care for fakeness or pretenses or people that try too hard.
13. Does the character have children? Grandchildren? If yes, how does she relate to them? If no, does she want any? None as of right now.
14. Does she have any rivals or enemies? No, because she tries to stay neutral--it’s kind of her ancestral calling to be a neutral force in the world.
15. What is the character's sexual orientation? Where does she fall on the Kinsey scale? Probably a 1, maybe a 2. It would take a very singular woman to really catch her interest for anything more than a kiss here or there. She likes men. Really really likes me.
16. How does she feel about sex? How important is it to her? She enjoys sex a great deal, and it’s as important to her as it is to any other warm blooded, healthy 19 year old girl, but it‘s not an all consuming thing. The ecstasy of using magic actually comes pretty close to an orgasm, so.
17. What are her turn-ons? Turn-offs? Weird bedroom habits? Trust is a big turn on for her. Trust, and acceptance. Physically, she likes big strong hands and really expressive eyes. She likes to be able to see her partner during sex. She’s pretty equal as far as having control or surrendering it--she’ll be on top, tease, wield the sexual power, then just as happily be rolled over and pinned to the mattress.
Beliefs
1. Do you know your character's astrological (zodiac of choice) sign? How well does she fit type? She’s a Pisces, which fits her very well. Her Chinese zodiac sign is the Sheep, which fits her...eh, decently.
2. Is this character religious, spiritual, both, or neither? How important are these elements in her life? Both, and these are vital to her. Incredibly important.
3. Does this character have a personal code of morals or ethics? If so, how did that begin? What would it take to compromise it? She does. Neutrality and balance are incredibly important to how she was raised, and I think it would be very interesting to see what would push her to defy that philosophy--she’s a very good person, and capable of loving very deeply, and I don’t know that she could stand by and let people she loves be hurt.
4. How does she regard beliefs that differ from hers? Is she tolerant, intolerant, curious, indifferent? She’s very tolerant, and it irritates her to no end that people can’t seem to extend the same courtesy.
5. What prejudices does she hold? Are they irrational or does she have a good reason for them? She’s actually pretty good at acceptance. She doesn’t push her vegetarianism off on others or judge them for eating meat--she accepts that her way isn’t everyone’s way. People wearing fur…that might make her wince, but she’ll keep her mouth shut.
Daily Life
1. What is the character's financial situation? Is she rich, poor, comfortable, in debt? She does okay. Her family’s been pretty smart and set back money in case the store has a bad year.
2. What is her social status? Has this changed over time, and if so, how has the change affected her? She doesn’t really concern herself with ‘social status’. In fact, she’s kind of rolling around laughing in my head.
3. Where does she live? House, apartment, trailer? Is her home her castle or just a place to crash? What condition is it in? Does she share it with others? She has a modest little house with a little yard that she’s renting to own. It’s on the old side, but that’s exactly why she likes it. She doesn’t share it with anyone but her cat--but her family lives pretty close to her.
4. Besides the basic necessities, what does she spend her money on? She likes books. Grimoires and spell books, yes, but first edition books as well. She likes jewelry--particularly any jewelry that doubles as protection or craft related--and she likes clothes.
5. What does she do for a living? Is she good at it? Does she enjoy it, or would she rather be doing something else? She runs the family business, and yes, she’s good at it. She’s been working there since before it was even really legal to do so, and she learned really quickly.
6. What are her interests or hobbies? How does she spend her free time? She likes to paint, she likes to garden as much as she can in her little bitty yard. She likes to cook. She likes to read.
7. What are her eating habits? Does she skip meals, eat out, drink alcohol, avoid certain foods? Vegetarian. She won’t eat meat. She’ll drink milk and have dairy products, though honestly she’d be just as happy with soy products. She drinks wine and alcohol in moderation. She hates beer.

2. Smell? Sage
3. Time of day? Early morning
4. Season? Spring and Fall
5. Book? A collection of T.S. Elliot poems.
6. Music? Fiona would probably give her grief for it, but she’s not that discerning when it comes to music. So long as it’s not too loud or abrasive.
7. Place? Home. Or the store.
8. Substance? …What?
9. Plant? All of them.
10. Animal? All of them.
